David Hume has suggested many things that continue to influence modern day rhetoric. But I have a few questions.
1.) If something gives us more pleasure, and we consider pleasure a good thing, then can we consider anything to be truly bad?
- For example, Ted Bundy found pleasure in killing woman and sodomizing their bodies. But, it was his standard of taste.
2. )Does pleasure have a basis?
3.) Is there such a thing as an educated standard of taste?
- What do we consider educated since in different fields of work and in different works of life everyone needs to be educated about different things?
